Acton Community Forum

This item was included in the September broadcast. It is the first in the Ealing series of items featuring women’s groups and other organisations and activities which have women’s well being at their core.

Rachel Pepper – Acton Community Forum
Rachel Pepper is the Director of Acton Community Forum (ACF). ACF is a hub of community development and support based in the Old Oak area of Acton in West London. The team of workers have a great resource of expertise and knowledge and have raised several million pounds with and for local organisations. Equalities, self respect and empowerment are key to ACF’s philosophy and practice. Development support for women’s groups and related activities is a major part of ACF’s work including their annual Talk Up women’s networking event in March (which Women’s Radio Group traditionally attends).

Debbie started by asking Rachel how she got involved with Acton Community Forum. (Please click on the link to listen.)
